Full Hive Inspection

Posted on July 11, 2017 by smeadr

EH#2 – AKA the strong hive… they are thriving! The pictures above are from this hive. There is 3 brood boxes full (roughly 3 frames with nothing on them on them). Eggs, larvae, capped brood, pollen and lots of honey 🍯. The first honey super is nearly full, they should be capping that box soon. A little comb in the second honey super, lots of bees 🐝 up there working though. I didn’t see a crazy amount of pollen so I put on a patty

WH#1 – since the last hive inspection last Saturday, they have drawn comb, there are now eggs and they are taking sugar syrup. They are finally progressing. Yay 😊. I moved the brood to the center of the hive and sprayed all the empty frames with sugar syrup. Filled the feeder and put a fresh pollen patty in.
